So, maybe you're ready to ask - how do I give?   Mission to the World (the organization with which I work) has a website.  The link is here:  http://www.mtw.org/Pages/Give_FAQ.aspx.  It give you information on how to give.  The important thing is our account number.  It's 12730. There are many different kinds of ways to give.  You can also fill out the enclosed yellow sheet.  Some of you have been asking about the length of time of your commitment.  Generally, your commitment would be for five years - knowing however that sometimes things come up, so your commitment is not set in stone. 

Thank you all so very much!  We are ready to physically go to Zlin and serve the Lord there.  We are hoping and praying to go in January 2014, which is really just around the corner!

The Reformed Church of Zlin

When we finally move to Zlin, we have the privilege of working alongside the Reformed Church of Zlin.  While many of the church members and attenders have been friends for quite a while, it's only within the past few years they have moved from survival mode to the reality that the church is really a church - and is there to stay.  There is a Czech pastor (Rene) and his family, one elder and his family, a number of other families and individuals, and one other MTW couple (Johnny and Annette Johnson).  It is a small group of people, but they love the Lord and they are excited about reaching their family members, friends, community, and country for Him.  We are thrilled to be able to answers God's call on our lives to go there.  The people are wonderful - especially those teenagers and kids!  (They are my favorites!!)

While I have spent about 10 years in Slovakia and have in many ways adapted, I was already an adult when I first went.  Evan will be going as a child and he will have a very different experience than I did.  We have visited Czech Republic twice and have been talking and preparing to go, but I don't think he really has any idea of what it means.  He will be thrown into Czech life.  I know eventually he will do great, but the transition time will be rocky.  God will always provide what we need when we need it.

Please pray for Evan, for me, and for us both to make relationships quickly - 

for God to be our Father and our Comforter!
